Terms of Service
Last updated: June 2026
These terms govern your use of the Libre app and the Libre NFC focus device. By using Libre, you agree to them.
What Libre is
Libre is a focus tool: you tap a physical NFC device to start a focus session, during which apps you have chosen are blocked using Apple’s Screen Time (Family Controls) framework, and tap again to end it. The Libre app is free; the physical device is a separate, one-time purchase.
Self-imposed focus only
Libre is intended for restricting your own device for personal focus and productivity. It is not a device-management or surveillance product. The blocking is enforced by iOS, which you authorize; you can revoke that authorization at any time in iOS Settings.
Accountability features
Libre includes accountability features such as a limited number of “lives.” Ending a session early or revoking permission mid-session may use a life, and a device can be temporarily suspended when its lives run out. These behaviours are part of the product by design.
No warranty
Libre is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee any particular outcome, productivity result, or change in screen-time habits. App blocking depends on Apple’s frameworks and your device settings.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Libre and its makers are not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the app or device.
Changes & governing law
We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date. These terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction to be confirmed before launch].
